my new toy...

I am having WAAAYYY too much fun with my new toy! There are so many fun photography apps! This was all done on my iPhone. How fun is that?!?!?!

We had such a fun New Year's Eve weekend. We celebrated with lots of friends Friday night and stayed up WAAAYYY too late! We watched movies, ate treats and did sparklers with my boys Saturday night. I am grateful that we were able to start the New Year off by going to church. We have the best ward! I have been thinking this weekend about the goals I want to make for myself for the new year and what we talked about today at church will help so much with that. A lot of the focus Sunday was on becoming more spiritually fit in our lives this year. Our wonderful President Monson did a perfect article in this month's Ensign. Everything he talked about in this article are things I feel like I really need to work on. It is worth a good read!

We had a great year in 2011! We always have our wonderful days and our challenges but I am so grateful that I have my boys to snuggle with every day. I get to spend another holiday with Mike, who I adore and am forever thankful for. I have so many amazing friends that are always there for me to lift me up. I am excited for a great new year!

14 years!

Mike and I celebrated our 14th wedding anniversary last weekend. We went to downtown Salt Lake City for a couple days and played. It was a lot of fun! We went shopping, walked around Temple Square, ate at some awesome new restaurants and stayed at a really fun hotel. The one thing that surprised me and Mike was that everyone kept telling us how amazing it was that we were still together after 14 years, and we still like each other! We are definitely not perfect but I am constantly grateful that I chose to marry Mike. We have been through a lot together. We have pulled together in hard times instead of pulling apart. He puts up with a lot from me! He spoils me rotten. I am looking forward to many more years with him!

I have such fun, awesome friends! In the few short years that I have known her she has done so much for me, I could never repay her! She is there for me when I need a friend. She is also going to have a baby! I love you guys!

Logan Temple...

We had a really fun trip to my hometown of Logan for Thanksgiving. My mom and I took our cameras to the temple. It was a beautiful but extremely cold day! I just love this temple! They have done a lot of outside remodeling and they have done some really beautiful landscaping. I also thought it may be fun to submit some of the photos to Helping in The Vineyard, which is a new website of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. It is a website with some unique and really cool service opportunities! They are having their first ever photo contest. If you "like" them here on Facebook you can follow the contest and learn about some fun ways to serve others! We'll see what happens! Hope your holiday was wonderful!

I love this...

I think a lot about the reasons that I enjoy photography. I am an amateur still, I have tons to learn. I think the reason I love taking photos so much is that I get to spend time with awesome people, whether it is my family or good friends. I love being with people and trying to make them feel good about themselves. I love hearing their stories and their life experiences. I learn so much...even about my closest friends. I love trying to bring out the best in them.

Last weekend I got to spend time with this awesome family! We are fairly new friends and I love getting to know them! They are so much fun! They are amazing! And, of course to make it totally unfair, they are gorgeous! The day was so gorgeous! It looks like fall is really upon us and winter is quickly coming! Hope you enjoy!
