Aidan and Aryn Build a Bear

I am not a person who enjoys throwing parties for any occasion. So in place of a birthday party I let Aidan choose a friend and choose something fun he would like to do for his birthday. This year he has told me for weeks that he wants to go to Build a Bear Workshop. I told him that was a fabulous idea and I told him to think of a friend he would like to take with him. He chose Aryn. He loves playing with Aryn and she is so good to him. So we went today. We had a lot of fun! I was really disappointed when I got to the mall and realized that I forgot my camera! But it was okay because I got to enjoy the time hanging out with Aidan and Aryn and wasn't worried about taking pictures. So we came home and took pictures. Aidan chose a panda bear and named him Panda. Aryn chose a bear with stars and named her Stars. They got to make their bear, give it a bath, choose an outfit, named it and got a Condo for it. They gave Aidan a little birthday gift and he got to ring the birthday bell and the whole store told him happy birthday. Then they came home and played with their bears all afternoon. It was the best birthday party I ever had to throw. I highly recommend it!

My Day Lilies

For family home evening tonight we sat out on our front porch and just...sat. Okay, so I took some pictures. So I know that lately I have been taking pictures of flowers a lot but they will just stay there and do what I tell them to do! They aren't grouchy and they don't talk back to me. So, here are my pretty day lilies!

I love the Young Women!

This is a picture of our Stake Young Women Presidency at Girls Camp. I thought it turned out really cute. I just adore these girls. They are incredible and I look up to them! Some of them have been through such trials the last couple of months but still they have a smile on their face and keep going with such a positive attitude. I am so grateful that they are my friends. Love you girls!

Camp Rock 2008

If you have kids that watch the Disney Channel you will get that title! I made it back from yet another awesome Girls Camp. I love going to camp and I have gone every year for the past few years. Our new Stake Camp Director's name is Amee Rock and so our youth camp leaders started calling our camp Camp Rock. The name kindof stuck the whole week. We had fun and learned so much as we always do. The weather was very nice and just to make Alicia and Cindy jealous none of us plunged ONE TOILET while we were there. That was a miracle itself. Here are some of my favorite pictures of camp this year. Thank you to Alicia and Cindy for helping me out with Aidan while I was gone. I appreciate it! I look forward to going next year! Camp Rock!

Flowers at Girls Camp

Taking pictures of my cute young women at Girls Camp was my favorite. But I also enjoyed getting some pictures of the BEAUTIFUL flowers and greenery around our camp site. We went to camp about 2 weeks earlier than we did last year. It also has rained and snowed so much this year that the flowers were so beautiful and everything was greener than I had ever seen. Here are some of my favorite flower pictures around camp. WOW!!!

Great Grandma Brown

My Grandma Brown is the coolest. We had a fun family reunion the last Saturday in June and I took some pictures, of course! I happened to be chatting with my Grandma while I was sitting on top of a table by her. I thought this angle would be really cool. She is holding my cousin's new baby girl. My cousin adopted her in April which we were so excited about. They have been trying to have children for a long time. They also adopted a baby boy the same month. Two birth moms chose them within a couple weeks of each other. Wow! Exciting right? Congrats!
