Aryn

Aryn has been asking me for a while if I would take her to do her pictures. I don't know why, her mom is so much better at it than I am! :) We had a lot of fun together and then got Icees after. She is a much more cooperative model than my wonderful son is. She actually WANTS to get her picture taken. Thanks Aryn! You are so adorable! I haven't done posts for a while because I have been playing around with my new Photoshop and I have had a hard time getting them onto my blog. I have to have my hubby help me every time. I am getting better and I have figured out some very simple things. I am still learning. I am also having a hard time picturing a world in which there is no Photoshop. Let's not...

Eyelashes

Okay kids, you get to see a product from my new Photoshop Elements! Now I need to give credit to my awesome husband who pretty much did this whole picture for me while I watched and asked questions. I think he had fun with it too. Carin (my photography teacher/idol) gave her students a challenge to photograph eyelashes and then put the photo on our blog. So, here it is! Man, I love this kid to pieces!

New Mutual Theme!

Okay, every year around the end of July I get really excited because I know the new Mutual theme will be announced. Well, since I am crazy about my calling in Young Women I wanted to share the new Mutual theme for 2009. It is 1 Timothy 4:12, "Be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity." We will focus our activities and Girls Camp around this theme in 2009. This is a great theme isn't it? Below the scripture page is a picture of our Stake Youth Camp Leaders just last month at Girls Camp. It was so much fun! These girls are such a great example to me!

Aidan goes to first grade!

My little boy has started first grade. What in the world am I going to do with myself? So far I have been plenty busy. So far he has been enjoying it. He thinks that first grade revolves around "three recesses and lunch". He hopes that maybe he will have to do just a little work in between. Here are a couple pictures of his first day. The disguise is for him to be a "reading detective." He has to spy on people reading and record it in his notebook.

My new lens!

I got a new lens for my birthday. It is a 50 mm lens. It is really cool. It can focus on one subject and make everything surrounding it really blurry. I am really enjoying it! So I am adding some pictures I have taken with it. More are sure to come!
