{love} to see the temple

I have made a goal for myself recently to attend the temple more often, a LOT more often. Since I have a son in school all day there is no reason that I should not be going more. It has made a huge difference in my life! Now, my life was fabulous before, but it is even more fabulous now! The last time I went to the temple I threw my camera bag in the trunk of my car. Nothing like kneeling and squatting in a skirt to take pictures! So my last post for Carin's February photo challenge to capture love is a picture of the Jordan River Temple. The temple is the ultimate place when you are talking about love! This is the temple where we had Aidan sealed to us after we adopted him. One great thing about adoption, among lots of other things, is that Mike and I were able to take our son to the temple to be sealed to us forever! I am grateful for an awesome husband and son!

{love} this kid

I was looking through some of my pictures and found this one of Aidan. I thought it was really cute. This post is all about how I love my Aidan. We are so grateful that he is in our family! This kid is definitely one of a kind! Here is an example: A few nights ago we went to Wendy's to grab a hamburger. We decided to go in and eat. There was a family in line right before us with a little boy who was Aidan's age. They got to talking and enjoying each other's company. Aidan and his new friend decided to go back to where you sit and eat to find places to sit. Mike and I went back with our food to find that Aidan had asked this family if it was okay if he ate with them tonight. Aidan told them that his mom and dad wouldn't mind. I did one of those shake my heads because I can't believe what my kid does sometimes. The family said it was fine with them (while laughing hysterically). So Aidan ate dinner with this family that he met at Wendy's and Mike and I ate at a table close to them. This kid certainly keeps me on my toes all the time. We are grateful to this incredibly kind family who made Aidan's day that day. Thank you! And we love our Aidan! Though he may drive me to drink one day...

my {love}

I finally got some pictures of me and my hubby for Carin's February photo challenge to capture love. Mike and I both hate having our pictures taken. I get away with it because I am always behind the camera. This time we had Aidan behind the camera for us. Aidan loved that! I am so grateful that I am married to Mike. He is so good to me. He puts up with my girly things and never complains! Marrying him was the best decision I have ever made. He is still my best friend and we still actually love spending time together. Thanks, Mike, for everything! Love ya!

Our Saturday

Saturday was a very full day! We decided to go out and have some fun. And, of course, I threw my camera in the trunk of my car just in case. Here are some of the fun things we did:

Went and saw the movie Mall Cop. SO FUNNY! I had heard terrible movie critic reviews but a couple of my friends said they went and they loved it (friends with boys, that is). Highly recommend this movie to anyone who has boys! Aidan has spent the last few days trying to do some of the "stunts" from the movie.

Stopped by the park after the movie to let Aidan play and take some pictures. Please don't be mad at me, Mike, but I really liked the way this picture turned out!

Some pictures of my cute boys:

Then stopped by my good friend's house who just had a baby last week! She is so gorgeous! She was kind enough to let Aidan hold her. Not even a WEEK OLD! I have never seen Aidan jump up so fast to wash his hands in my whole life. Hmmmm...just happened to have my camera in the car.

THEN....Aidan has been begging me for a while to make him pancakes. I am not a huge pancake or waffle fan. I know, wierd. But I finally decided to get us a griddle. We have used that thing about twice a day for the past few days since I bought it. I haven't even found a spot for it in my kitchen cupboards yet because I have been using it so much. So Saturday night we had breakfast for dinner. I think we will be having that a lot more often since Aidan ate a lot of pancakes that night!

After all of that it was Aidan's bed time and then Mike and me time, my very most favorite time of the day. Ahhhhh....
